Cards against Cancer
How do you get women talking about the ‘C’ word?
Every year it is estimated that over 20,000 women will be diagnosed with a breast or gynaecological cancer. The Cancer Council’s ‘Girls Night In’ is an annual fundraiser where women are invited to get their friends together for a fun night in and asked to donate what they usually spend on a night out. But how do you get women to talk about cancer when they’re out to have fun?
We create ‘Cards against Cancer’ - a limited edition set of the popular party game ‘Card against Humanity. We re-create the game using insights from women’s Cancer sufferers about the disease. We enable the girls to gain a deeper understanding of Cancer, developing empathy for how people may have been affected by it in a unique way. Amusing, awkward and damn-right difficult answers can spark laughs, conversations and shareable social content from the parties while also contributing to the fight against cancer.
