Ms. Kensington
How do you get busy, stressed out 30+ women to feel fabulous in the bedroom?
Why start a lingerie label?
After the birth of my second child Zoe, it struck me just how many women find it hard to focus on intimacy, sex and relationships due to the unrelenting pace of modern life. Plus, every woman I spoke to was fed up with conforming to the unrealistic body ideals targeted at them in the fashion and media industries.
“I felt like there was a need for a range of luxury lingerie that was designed specifically for us. That would make us feel instantly fabulous when we wore it.”
I decided not to go back to the job I loved, but to create my own lingerie label from scratch. I wanted to redefine luxury from the mass produced, hype and logo driven global brands dominating the sector to something unique and special - something rare that you can’t find anywhere else. I threw myself into every step in the creation of the label, designing both the prints for the fabric and the lingerie itself. I sketched each design by hand before working with local makers in Sydney to bring them to life.
Ms. Kensington is a luxury silk lingerie label designed to make women feel fabulous.
Born from a modern, romantic outlook, each collection is inspired by a different city and accompanied by a love letter, revealing the inspiration behind it.

The Sydney collection
Looking up at a cloudless soft blue sky on a Summer morning or standing on the cliffs at Bondi looking at the ocean waves stretching out in front of you. The heat haze blurring and softening the colours on a scorching hot day. Sydney blues are infinite, expansive and immersive all at once. I worked with local textile studio Dyehaus to create these stunning Shibori and Ombré overdyed dresses complemented by a stunning plain blue silk to capture the harbour city beautifully.
The London Collection
A Londoner, born and bred – I wanted to create a collection evocative of the city, that would capture its beauty but also expose a deeper, darker and edgier side. I was inspired by the London girls making front page news - Alexa, Cara, Naomi and Kate etc and their relationship with the tabloid newspapers.
The London print is a reimagining of an English Rose. A classic beauty who is both celebrated and torn apart by the newspapers. Embodying the grittiness, edginess and smoky greys of the city and beautiful, decadent and rebellious personality of a London it-girl. With scraps of newsprint to suggest she is always front-page news and the ink bleeding to create an abstract floral rose pattern to create something intriguing, beautiful and quintessentially ‘London’.
